Eschatology is basically the study of the end times. What is going on with the world in the end times realm? So much to study and consider on this topic. How do we interpret the bible? What do the scriptures point to in our immediate to near future? What is the tribulation, when will it happen, has it already happened? When will Jesus return? These are questions many of us have about the end times.
What is the pre-tribulation rapture? This was a false doctrine concocted by John Nelson Darby and Cyrus Ingerson Scofield instigated and published the Scoifield Bible in 1909. Premillennial Dispensationalism took hold and later gave birth to the “pre-tribulation rapture” doctrine. John Nelson Darby popularized the concept of a pre-tribulational rapture, where believers are caught up to be with Christ before a period of tribulation on earth.
The popular “Left Behind” series authored by Tim LaHay and Jerry B. Jenkins led many Christians down this path. It’s interesting to note, the star of the Left Behind series, Kirk Cameron, no longer believes in the pre-tribulation rapture. In my research about eschatology I ran across a women who goes by the name Melissa Redpill The World. Melissa has quite a background and experience in Christian ministries. Her in depth studies into the “end times” is none less than amazing, enlightening and eye opening. Her videos are very stimulating, educational and exciting. She goes into great detail about topics such as; how Israel fits into the equation, the second coming, the tribulation, who the antichrist is, and much, much more.
